And since the Locura™ Personal Media Server is simply a personal web server
with PSP, iPhone, and iPod Touch extensions (as well as others), no homebrew or jailbreak is required! You can use the Locura™ Personal
Media Server on any PSP with firmware version 2.0 or later and any iPhone or iPod Touch. 3 In fact, because
this is simply a web server, you can view your files on any compatible browser,
such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.
1 Currently the PSP and PSP Slim don't
support video streaming, but videos can be downloaded wirelessly. Both the iPhone and iPod Touch support
video streaming. Over a standard WiFi home connection, playback on the iPhone and iPod Touch should be flawless. However, playback over the Internet
depends on two key factors: The bit rate of the video and the bandwidth of your Internet connection. If your upload
bandwidth is not enough to keep your videos from intermittent buffering, you may want to consider using lower bit rate
videos or upgrading your Internet connection. Note: in order to view your videos over the Internet, a few quick steps must be
taken to allow access to your home machine from your iPhone or iPod Touch. For more information view

2 The Locura™ Personal Media Server allows for
two methods of play lists: RSS feeds and M3U play lists; both are industry standards. Unfortunately, the iPhone and iPod Touch
do not support M3U playlists. In addition, the RSS feeds are not read by these devices as playlists (as they are with the PSP, PSP Slim,
and other browser plug-ins). Instead, the iPhone and iPod Touch at this time will only play single songs; they will not automatically
play a subsquent song in the list when the song being played is done. This is not a limitation of the media server, but of
the iPhone and iPod Touch themselves.

FAQ
Q: Do I need to install other software such as a web server?
A: No. Since the Locura™ Personal Media Server is a fully functioning web server, it is all
built-in. You simply install the application, and go: No detailed list of instructions and no other
download sites to visit. In fact, the only software the Locura™ Personal Media Server needs is the Microsoft .NET
Framework which is included in the installation (for more information,
see requirements).
Q: Since it is a web server, will I be able to use it if I already run a web server?
A: Yes! The Locura™ Personal Media Server is easily configured to use any port.
Q: Can I use it as a regular web server?
A: Yes... within reason. This is a personal web server. For instance, you can use it to
share photos with friends, but if you want to host a web site with a fair amount of traffic it is best to use a commercial web server.
Q: How difficult is it to make my own themes?
A: A little knowledge of style sheets and image editing is all you need. Instructions
should be available shortly after release and we hope to have a theme manager application in the near future.
Q: Can I share my themes?
A: Yes! Themes are self-contained in their own folders. You can simply zip a
theme folder up and pass it on to a friend. We are also looking into the possiblity of having a theme sharing
section available on our website in the future.
Q: What if I want to do more than change the colors?
A: All media pages are templates written in HTML and Visual Basic.Net script so if
you know a little programming, you can make major changes to the layout. We are also looking
into the possiblity of a Template editor in the future.

Requirements
To use the Locura™ Personal Media Server you must have a computer with the
Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 installed (This is free and comes with
the installation). Only the Windows 2000, 2003, and XP operating systems are
supported, but due to the nature of .NET other OS versions may become
available.
In order to access the Locura™ Personal Media Server from a PSP, PSP Slim, iPhone, iPod Touch, Mac, PC, or
other device in your home you must have a network connection (such as through ethernet or a wireless router) to the computer running the media server.
In order to access the Locura™ Personal Media Server from outside your home,
the computer running the media server must have a connection
to the internet, and the appropriate port must be forwarded. You can then
access the Locura™ Personal Media Server from any web browser connected to the
Internet provided this access is not restricted by your Internet Service
